LOCATION Cortona, Italy THE VILLA Villa Torre degli Elci is located in the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by the iconic olive and cypress trees, just a mere 4 km from the Etruscan hill town of Cortona. The name of the villa derives from its history as an old watch tower, dating back to the 13th century, later becoming a monastery and then finally a home. Boasting views of Cortona and the Chiana valley, here you are far from the chaos and movement, surrounded by elm trees. Villa Torre degli Elci is a 5-bedroom / 6-bathroom property spread over 300 sqm, with a main house that has three levels, and two annex buildings. On the ground floor of the main house, there are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of these rooms has a fireplace. On the first floor there is another double bedroom and bathroom, as well as a large living room and dining room, with another cozy fireplace, a kitchen, and a reading room. On the second floor there is another reading room, with a beautiful panoramic view, and one double bedroom and bathroom.
